About Library

Basugaon College Library was established in the year 1986, i.e., in the year of establishment of the college. The college library is located in the middle front part of the college building.
Basugaon College Central Library has been consistently making efforts to build a strong collection of learning resources and provide a human moderated access to knowledge. This Library is enhancing its collection extensively. Currently, it holds more than 15,000 books mainly on social sciences domain. This Central Library has subscribed the N-List for its journal and eBooks as well.
To support the institute’s mission, Library is always striving hard to achieve equity and trying to include computer and Internet facility for students and faculties.

Vision

Provide essential and specialized information support to users by procuring and organizing information resources, providing human and technologically moderated access to knowledge and aiding users to identify, locate, obtain and evaluate information.

Objectives

  • Provide good quality library and information services to support institute
  • Develop a library and information services to provide continuing high-quality support for teaching and learning.
  • Develop a library and information services to provide continuing high-quality support for research and consultancy support at institute.
  • Manage and focus resources to disseminate priorities and develop library staff for innovation and service improvement.

  • The college library has a good number of books, journals etc. for students and faculty members.
  • The library offers good reading environment.
  • Provides separate sitting arrangements for boys and girls.
  • Separate tables available for teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • More than 15,000 books are available in the library.
  • Multi-lingual daily Newspapers are available.

Membership

All the faculty members and office staff of the college are the member of the college library but students have to fill up a library form for registration and pay a little amount of fees which is refundable.

10.00 A.M. To 4.00 P.M.
